Graduate Coursework

The Yellowstone Writing Project is proud to offer both the Invitational Summer Institute (ISI) and the Advanced Institute (AI) for educators looking to pursue a master’s degree, earn CEUs/Renewal Units, or simply improve their writing instruction. The ISI takes place every other summer and is an intensive professional experience through which participating teachers immerse themselves in their own writing and in the study of writing instruction. Teachers who participate in the Summer Institute may earn six graduate credit hours through Montana State University’s Department of English.

Master of Arts in English Education

The Yellowstone Writing Project works closely with Montana State University’s Departments of English and Education. For educators interested in pursuing a master’s degree in English Ed., the recently launched MA:EE program is an online graduate program designed for working teachers. Up to nine of the thirty credits required for this program can be taken through the YWP.
